Rules 2010
The Rules of "Fish To Win" 2009
The Rules are set into two sections being "General Rules" which apply to all venues and all match's and "Venue Rules" which are additional rules which apply to that venue.
General Rules
- Registration starts at 7.00am and finish's at 7.55am (Unless otherwise stated)
- The draw time of each match is 8am. (Unless otherwise stated)
- The start time of each match is 10am.(Unless otherwise stated)
- Match duration is five hours
- The finish time of each match is 3pm. (Unless otherwise stated)
- Upon drawing your peg give your draw ticket to an offical so your name and peg can be logged, after which you may proceed to your peg and this will be considered your fishing ground.
- No competitor may move or exchange his/her peg.
- Competitors must retain all fish in keepnets which comply with the relevant EA byelaws.
- Minimum of two keepnets to be used and Carp over 2lb to be kept seperate from smaller carp and silver fish, no more than 100lb in a net. Common sence must prevail when net weights are verified.
- No pre-baiting, loose-feed or cupping before the start whistle.
- You may plumb the depth, cast a feeder or ledger to find distance, but no lines to be kept in the water before the start whistle.
- Barbless hooks only, maximum size 10 hook.
- Braid hook lengths are not allowed.
- Floating Poles are not permitted.
- Floating baits either hook baits or feedbaits are not permitted.
- Minimum depth from float is 9 inch's when fishing up in the water.
- No Fixed Method Feeders (can be free running) unless the venues stipulate no method feeders
- All feeders and ledgers must be free running and not fixed.
- A competitor must strike, play and land there own fish.
- A competitor must cease fishing at the finishing signal, If a competitor has a fish on at the finish signal, the competitor must shout fish on, the competitor will be permitted no more than fifteen (15) after time has been called to land the fish.
- All catches will be weighed to the nearest quarter of an once or ten grammes rounded up.
- Each competitor will be responsible for ensuring the correct weightof their catch is recorded and to sign the weigh sheet to that effect.
- In the event of a draw, where two qualifiers cannot be named those affected will return to there peg and fish for a further 1 hour or reduced to 30 minuted depending on light or agreement.
Venue Rules
These rules are in addition to the above rules and relate to the fishery named.
Qualifier 1 - Marsh Farm
- No tins allowed on the bank
- No Nut baits, Blood Worm or Joker
- Minimum two nets required, one for fish under 1lb, one for fish over 1lb.
- Keepnets are provided by the fishery
- Please use toilet facilities provided.
Qualifier 2 - Colemans Cottage

ALL NETS TO BE DIPPED(We provide the keepnets)

All anglers to use suitable landing net and unhooking mat

No Tiger nuts, peanuts, bloodworm, joker or boilies. No floating baits.
As of 1st Jan 2009 ALL catmeat etc will be prohibited. Luncheon meat is restricted to a maximum of 400g per angler.

1 kilo ground bait limit

No hand lines or “Shock Stikk” type set ups

Swims must be kept tidy at all times.

All litter and unused bait must be removed from the premises

No noise nuisance, radios, phones etc

No unsociable or disruptive behaviour

No trespassing in surrounding farmland or woods

All Vehicles to be parked in the car park areas only

No fires or barbeques

No dogs

Coleman’s Fishery accepts no liability whatsoever for any personal injury, loss or damage to any property howsoever caused

No juniors under the age of 16 are permitted to fish without adult supervision.
Juniors may fish matches depending on the circumstances, please call for clarification.

The rules and fees are subject to change without notice.

Any person not abiding by the rules will be asked to leave and banned from the fishery
Qualifier 3, 6 and the Semi Final - Monks
- All nets must be dipped before use
- No Nuts or Beans unless supplied by Monk Lakes
- 8 pints of loose feed allowed at your peg. On top of this you are allowed 2KG of Groundbait and 1kg of Worms
- All fish to be laneded with a landing net - No swinging fish to hand
- 50lb Max per keep net with a 10lb tolerance - (Suggest you bring 4 keepnets)
- No Blood worm or Joker
- No fishing over the ropes, beyond halfway to the next peg
- Hook lengths to be a minimum of 10 inch's below the float
Qualifier 4 - Tylers Common
Qualifier 5 - Puddledock
- No Trout Pellets
Qualifier 7 - Hartleylands Farm
- No tins or cans allowed on the bank
- Fish over 4oz must be landed with a net
- No Boilies
- No Trout Pellet or Trout Paste
Qualifier 8 - Sumners
- No Bread
- No more than 5KG of Groundbait
Qualifier 9 - Frant

- Speed Limit is 5mph
- No Boilies

- No Balling of Groung Bait
- No Bloodworm or Joker
- Maximum Hook Size is 14
